Brian Kays has been in the real estate and property management field for more than 19 years, serving clients in the Omaha, Nebraska area. He obtained his ARM designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2019 and his Military Relocation Professional designation in 2019. He is one of only 20 REALTORS® selected per year that has graduated from the NREC Nebraska Real Estate Commission’s Leadership Academy and has served as the Chairman, Vice Chair & Treasurer of the Omaha Area Board of Realtors Young Professionals Network.

1.) What creative ways do you use Homesnap in your business?
I use Homesnap at all of my open houses. After the visitor signs in, they have to provide a phone number or email. Instead of handing them a printed flyer, I share the Homesnap details on the property through the app with them. They can then look at the digital information on their own phone.
I then let them know that if they provide feedback through Homesnap to me, they are entered into a drawing contest for a gift card. Don’t tell anyone, but everyone wins the $10 Starbucks card (shh) — it gives me a reason to reach back out to them!
I also use Homesnap during my Buyers/Sellers presentation. I teach them how to set up a home search and then share a home they like with me. It allows us to interact in a hands-on way. I was actually given this tidbit from a fellow Homesnap user, Patti Alonzo.
2.) From your perspective, what makes Homesnap different from other apps available to you and other agents?
I think Homesnap is above other platforms due to the partnership they have with my local Omaha Area Board of Realtors. The integration into the MLS system is what sets it apart.
I am able to quickly provide my clients with up-to-the-minute information. Plus, it’s much easier to navigate than other apps and websites.
3.) What do you enjoy most about Homesnap? What do you hope to see from us in the future?
I am looking forward to my OABR continuing to open up more tools through Homesnap.
I’m looking forward to seeing what future innovations Homesnap offers that allow my clients and I to communicate even better. Video calls or the ability for me to send a video through the messenger side of the app to my clients would be awesome!
