Here’s a sneak peek: Homesnap recently ran a study that traced the growth of our customers using Homesnap Pro+ to verify, manage, and optimize their Google business profiles and found the following results:

  • After three months, customers increased their appearance in earned searches 380%
  • After six months, customers  increased their appearance in earned searches 1,037%
  • After one year, customers  increased their appearance in earned searches 3,087%
  • After a year and a half, customers increased their appearance in earned searches 5,037%

One of the most important steps that you can take to see similar results is solicit reviews from your sphere.

How to ask for Google reviews

First, it’s important to remember that you can ask clients, colleagues, and even family and friends for Google reviews. Each person will have a unique perspective on your work as a loan officer — for instance, a client can speak to your responsiveness and ability to get the lowest interest rate possible, while a friend could speak to your character and dedication to your job.

We will remind you to ask for reviews at least once a month and regularly send your review link by email, so it’s easy to copy and paste. We recommend that you add your review link to your email signature, and we recommend that you work review solicitation into your client routine, so it’s another item on the checklist after you close with a client who you think would leave you a positive review.

How to ask a client for a review:

Hi, [INSERT FIRST NAME]! It was a pleasure working together, and I’m glad that you chose me to help with your home loan. If it’s not too much trouble, I’m hoping you can take 60 seconds and share some feedback about your experience in a Google review.

Five-star Google reviews help me reach other clients who are looking for a loan officer just like you were, so they have a strong sense of what it’ll be like to work with me.

I look forward to your feedback! You can click here to leave your Google review: [INSERT REVIEW LINK]

If you’re already logged into Google, you’ll just leave a star rating and type out your feedback before submitting. If you’re not logged in, it will simply ask you to log into Google before you can leave your review.

Thanks in advance — again, it was great to work with you! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything else.
